Zappos Really Means It
Zappos.com claims to be focused on customer service - and only customer service. It wouldn't matter to them what they are selling, they want to be the best customer service store on the web, period. Well, they've made a believer out of me.
My husband bought a pair of Sebago's from Zappos about four months ago. He has a hard time finding shoes in wide widths and Zappos had them. The ordering went flawlessly and they arrived almost the next day.
Yesterday he put on the shoes and the seam just below the laces had pulled apart! He had not worn them a lot as he spends most of his time in a suit and tie with dress shoes. Needless to say, he was disappointed.
We thought, well maybe Zappos can help and called them. Not only did they help, they did it without question! The fact that the shoes fell apart wasn't their fault but they immediatley sent us an email with instructions on how to send them back and the UPS sticker to use.
Rather than a refund we elected to take a store credit - you can be sure we'll be back on Zappos.com!
